Triple Crown Preview

This year's 2008 Triple Crown should be a good one. With its long history and grueling 5 week schedule everyone is excited to see who can make it happen. Speaking of history, only 11 horses have ever won the Triple Crown making it one of the most covenant championships in sports.

Pyro is looking solid as the number one ranked contender for May 3rds 138th Kentucky Derby. Also pushing for a good showing is the undefeated Big Brown and Colonel John.

Both horses will give Pyro a run for the money and the winner of the Run for the Roses gets a huge victory on the first leg of the Triple Crown.

The 133rd Preakness Stakes is a Wild party, but an important race as the second leg of the championship. The Preakness is the smallest of the three races, but offers the same purse as the Belmont Stakes.

Speaking of The Belmont Stakes, the most critical and oldest race of the three track championship will hopefully be an important one. No disrespect to the 140th Belmont Stakes in any way, but horse fans would jump for joy to see another horse such as Affirmed win it all. The last winner of the Triple Crown was Affirmed way back in 1978.

That's a broad stroke preview of what's to come for the exciting 2008 Triple Crown. It should be exciting to say the least. Be apart of history and bet on the horses right here at BetSportsWeb Racebook today!
