Dallas Activates Two of Their Veteran Stars From IR List
The NHL's Dallas Stars are getting the services of longtime veteran standout players Mike Madano and Jere Lehtinen back on the ice this week as they both have recovered well enough from their injuries to be activated from the injured reserve list. Center Mike Madano is now in his 20th NHL season and he currently holds the record for the highest scoring American born player in NHL history. Madano has missed the last 13 games due to a rib injury that he incurred during the season's opening game against the Nashville Predators. Right wing Jere Lehtinen has been a 14 year standout player for the Stars, but he missed the first 3 games of the season with a groin injury, and the last 9 games with an abdominal injury.
The news of their return couldn't come at a better time for the Stars as they are in dire need of the talented services of both players if they are going to have any legitimate betting odds chance of making the playoffs this season. Currently, the Stars are in fourth place in the Pacific division and have struggled to remain competitive during their absence. Fortunately for the Stars, however, that is a sure bet to change in the very near future from their mere presence on the ice. Although both players are getting a little up in years, they still possess tremendous talents, as well as a great deal of experience, which can only help the Stars' current situation.
