The 2008 MLB season has officially started and many fans are shocked by the early results. After signing what some say is the best hitter in the majors, Miguel Cabrera to an eight-year, $152.3 million deal the Tigers looked like the early favorites to win the Pennate. However, Jim Leyland's team started the year at 0-7 and is currently 2-10 while Cabrera is hitting a horrible .175. Not a good start for a team expected to be in the World Series.

The Diamondbacks on the other hand look like champions playing for the best record in the majors at 9-3 while leading the league in scoring and home runs. Quick, tell me three players starting on the D-Backs roster? Tough right? The Tigers superstar team is looking like pretenders while the D-Backs starless team is looking like contenders.

Teams looking hot out of the batters cage are the St. Louis Cardinals, the Oakland A's, and Milwaukee Brewers in a tough National League Central.

Many teams however are looking for answers such as the San Francisco Giants, the Washington Nationals, and Houston Astros. In fairness, the season has just started and there's a lot of baseball to be played and baseball betting to be made before anyone can jump to an early season prediction.
