The Battle for Quail Hollow

The worlds top golfers must fight off the deadly "green mile" and each other to win this years battle for Quail Hollow.

Anthony Kim defends his 2008 title against an amazing talent pool that includes past champion Tiger Woods, Jim Furyk, and Vijay Singh. Also attending this year's popular championship will be Phil Mickelson, Geoff Ogilvy, Padraig Harrington, and Masters Champion Angel Cabrera.

Capping

Capping this year's championship will be a challenge since the field is loaded with tremendous talent.

Taking a look at past percentages and current standings might help find a diamond in the rough, but since most winners at Quail Hollow are the tours top player's looking for a proven player may be more beneficial.

Take a look at Phil Mickelson (long drive and good putter), Sergio Garcia (low scores and 05 runner-up), Vijay Singh (past winner and 3 top 10 finishes), Geoff Ogilvy (2009's hottest golfer) and Tiger Woods still looking for a win.

Dark horses to look for include, Rory Sabbatini, Trevor Immelman, Robert Allenby and Adam Scott.

Course

The Quail Hollow Championship is played in beautiful Charlotte, South Carolina. The Quail Hollow Club is currently playing as a par 72 at 7,442 yards. The course was designed by George Cobb and opened in 1961. The Championship event starts April 27th - May 3rd.
