Golf Fans Rejoice!

With the arrival of the Mercedes-Benz Championship the 2009 Golf season is only a week away.

A few course facts-

The $5.6 million Mercedes-Benz Championship is played at the beautiful Kapalua Resort in Hawaii.

The par 73, 7,411-yard "Plantation Course" was designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore.

The Mercedes officially started in Kapalua during 1999 with the championship going to David Duval.

The course is set against the Pacific Ocean and should make any snowbound golf fan droll with envy.

Who to look out for-

Ernie Els: Loves to play and win in paradise.

Vijay Sing: Has also won in Hawaii and finished strong in 2008.

This year's group even without Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson should see some exciting play. You should see defending champion Daniel Chopra, K.J. Choi, Anthony Kim, Ex-Champion Vijay Sing, Kenny Perry, Justin Leonard, Zach Johnson, Adam Scott, Geoff Ogilvy and Camilo Villegas.

Up Next-

K.J. Choi defends his Sony Championship the following week at the Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, Hawaii.
